One hundred farmers from Rajasthan will visit four countries to gain exposure to the latest technological applications and innovations in the agriculture sector. The State government’s knowledge enhancement programme is expected to help farmers increase crop production.
An Agriculture Department spokesperson said here on Saturday that the selected farmers, attached to farmer producer organisations (FPOs), would visit the Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, and Brazil. They will undertake seven-day tours in different batches between November 2025 and March 2026.
The farmers will learn about advanced technologies in the agriculture sector to improve crop yields, and will also study the operation of successful agricultural cooperatives in the four countries, which are similar to the FPOs in terms of organisational structure.
