A total of 120 individuals found driving under the influence of alcohol were booked by the Cyberabad Traffic Police during the weekend enforcement drive.
Among those booked, 71 were riding two-wheelers, 43 were in four-wheelers, four were operating three-wheelers, and two were behind the wheel of heavy vehicles.
The offenders were categorised based on their Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) levels, with 106 individuals recording between 35 mg/100 ml and 200 mg/100 ml, eight registering between 201 mg/100 ml and 300 mg/100 ml, and six registering dangerously high levels between 301 mg/100 ml and 500 mg/100 ml.
Between July 1 and 26, 2025, a total of 1,318 drunk driving cases were booked in Cyberabad. Of these, 38 persons were sentenced to varying terms of imprisonment. Two were given one-day jail terms, 30 were sentenced to two days, while two individuals each received three, four, and seven-day sentences. Additionally, 31 violators were assigned social service as part of their punishment.
