1912 toll-free service for power consumers extended to rural areas of TGSPDCL

HYDERABAD

The Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Ltd (TGSPDCL) has decided to expand the 1912 call centre services on power supply related issues to rural areas. The toll-free number is limited to Greater Hyderabad limits as of now. Chairman and Managing Director of the Southern Discom Md. Musharraf Ali Faruqui said the utility is also appointing senior engineers as nodal officers to oversee and monitor electricity supply across the Discom areas during the summer, when the demand is expected to peak. Earlier this month, the peak load of power on the transmission system had reached about 14,850 MW with the Southern Discom accounting for 9,500 MW.
