Thirty persons were injured at the jallikattu held at Melamichaelpatti in Ariyalur on Saturday.
Twenty-two persons were injured and eight of them were referred to the Ariyalur Government Medical College and Hospital. Present at the venue were 496 bulls and 162 tamers. The tamers arrived from Tiruchi, Pudukottai, Villupuram, Kallakurichi, and other districts.
