Minister for Transport, Youth Affairs, and Sports Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy on Thursday appealed to the medical fraternity to strengthen the healthcare sector in government hospitals.

Addressing the medical and paramedical staff during the Hospital Development Committee meeting at the Community Health Centre in Lakkireddipalle in Annamayya district, the Minister said that as the government hospitals were the hope of the low-income groups, they should provide the public with consistent, accessible, and reliable healthcare.

“I urge the medical officers to be accessible to the public. Their service is of crucial importance to enhance the reputation of the government hospitals,” the Minister said. He added that the State government had accorded top priority to healthcare development and expected the medical and paramedical staff to match the vision by extending the best services to the patients.

The Minister assured the staff of the Medical and Health Department that he would promptly take up their pending issues and take them to the notice of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, for speedy redressal.
