ACTS to hold people’s assembly against brewery on Saturday

The Assembly of Christian Trust Services (ACTS) will organise a people’s assembly against the proposed liquor plant at Elapully on Saturday. It will be the organisation’s launch of agitation against the government’s liquor policy.

Malankara Orthodox Church head Baselios Marthoma Mathews III will inaugurate the protest at the Elapully panchayat junction on Saturday afternoon.

Santhigiri Ashram general secretary Swami Gururethnam Jnana Thapaswi will preside over the function.

Veteran politician and former Speaker V.M. Sudheeran will deliver the keynote address. Kerala Madhya Virudha Janakeeya Munnani chairman Joshua Ignathios will announce the ACTS programmes.
