The Ernakulam District Residents’ Associations’ Apex Council (EDRAAC) and the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) have jointly formed a committee named ‘Residents’ Associations’ Anti-Corruption Movement’ to weed out corruption.
Sub committees will be formed in 42 regional units in Ernakulam district. Inaugurating the committee, S. Sasidharan, Superintendent of Police, VACB, said residents’ associations played a key role in wiping out corruption.
EDRAAC president Rangadasa Prabhu presided over the function. Confederation of Residents’ Welfare Associations national general secretary P.C. Ajithkumar delivered the keynote address.
