“The education system in Telangana is by and large ensnared in the clutches of urban naxals,” Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar said on Saturday (February 9, 2025).
He alleged that some vested elements were trying to imbibe the extremist ideology of attaining power through the barrel of a gun by glorifying the Maoist leaders. This is a dangerous trend with serious ramifications on the future generations, he said while speaking at the annual day celebrations of a private school in Karimnagar on Saturday (February 9, 2025) night.
The Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Centre brought the New Education Policy to foster a positive mindset and make the students integrated personalities of nation building by drawing inspiration from visionary leaders like Dr B R Ambedkar and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, he said.
