Vizianagaram Collector B.R. Ambedkar on Friday said that the banks had been playing a key role in the implementation of development activities of the State government. Along with District Development Manager of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development T. Nagarjuna, he released NABARD’s potential linked credit plan for the financial year 2025-26.
He said that ₹6,126 crore was allocated for the agriculture sector out of ₹10,650 crore allocated for various schemes. He urged farmers to utilise the support of banks for development of dairy farms and other allied activities. The schemes such as PM Suryagarh Refinance would benefit farmers and others also as it would reduce the expenditure on electricity, he added.
