Case against KTR for ‘obstructing’ traffic after ACB questioning

The Banjara Hills police have registered a case against Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K.T. Rama Rao for “carrying out a rally without obtaining the necessary permissions” after his questioning by the Anti- Corruption Bureau in the Formula-E case.

The case was filed based on a complaint by the Traffic police after the rally caused significant disruptions in Banjara Hills on Thursday evening.

The case was booked under sections pertaining to obstructing a public servant in the discharge of their duty, wrongful restraint, and public nuisance.

KTR had travelled back in a rally from the ACB office to the party headquarters, triggering traffic concerns that led to the official complaint and subsequent case. “A notice was served to him in this regard,” said an officer from the Banjara Hills police.
