A cataract detection eye camp was organised by the Rotary Club of Trivandrum South at Vizhinjam here recently. The camp conducted by Sree Netra Speciality Eye Hospital was intended to identify individuals for the next level of cataract surgery screening. Of the 153 people screened, 49 were identified for second phase of evaluation at the camp. Rotary is offering 100 free cataract surgeries for elderly women in the below the poverty line (BPL) category.
