The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested three accused persons, including a Senior Divisional Electrical Engineer (Senior DEE) and a Senior Section Engineer (SSE), on graft charge.
Subsequent searches led to the seizure of about ₹63.85 lakh in cash, gold bars and ornaments worth close to ₹3.46 crore.
The arrested accused have been identified as Saket Chand Srivastava, Senior DEE (Gen.); Tapendra Singh Gurjar, SSE, the Divisional Railway Manager Office (Delhi); and Gautam Chawla of Vatsal Infotech Private Limited.
The others named in the case as accused are Arun Jindal, SSE (In-Charge of Tender Section), Electrical – G Branch, DRM Office; Vatsal Infotech; Shivmani Enterprises and its director Saket Kumar, and unknown others.
The alleged bribe amount involved in the case is ₹7 lakh for extending favour to a private company.
