Those affiliated with the CITU-backed Samsung India Workers Union continued their sit-in protest for the ninth day over the suspension of three workers.

The representatives of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU), Kancheepuram, on Thursday submitted a representation to Elangovan, Joint Director, Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health. The representation alleged employment of contract workers at Samsung and S.H. Electronics India factories in Sriperumbudur and sought action against them. Meanwhile, those affiliated with CITU-backed Samsung India Workers Union continued their sit-in protest for the ninth day over the suspension of three workers.
