Coaches of express train detach in Kollam

The coaches of Guruvayur Madurai Express got detached from other coaches as the train was nearing the Aryankavu railway station in Kollam on Friday. No one was hurt in the incident. The incident took place around 3 p.m. The coaches in the middle of the train got detached as the train was about to approach the station. The detached coaches came to a halt without any untoward incident as it had an automatic brake system. The train was held up for about 40 minutes due to the incident and resumed its journey after the coaches were reattached by the railway officials, said railway sources, adding that an investigation will be carried out to by the Railway in the incident.
