Constable riding two-wheeler on flyover gets injured by manja

 

Among several persons who were injured by Chinese manja this Sankranti was a traffic police constable working with the Langar Houz Traffic Police.

The victim has been identified as Shivaraj. The official was on his way back home from Langar Houz to Golnaka around 3 p.m. on Tuesday (January 14) when he sustained a deep cut on his neck.

According to Langar Houz Traffic Inspector, Shivaraj was on the Tilak Nagar-Narayanguda flyover when the Chinese manja thread got entangled around his neck. Unaware, he continued to ride and before he could react, the threat inflicted a deep cut injury. He was immediately shifted to a government hospital in Narayanguda where he was given first aid with five stitches.

He is stable and currently recovering at his residence, the official added. A case was booked and an investigation is under way.

Last year, an Indian Army soldier from Visakhapatnam was killed driving on the Langar Houz Flyover on January 14.
