As the nation celebrated the 134th birth anniversary of the architect of the Constitution Babasaheb Ambedkar on Monday, a huge metal replica of the Preamble was unveiled at the Kittur Chennamma Park in Dharwad.

Labour Minister and Dharwad district in-charge Santosh Lad unveiled the replica, which is said to be the State’s first-ever massive metal replica of the Preamble of the Constitution. Designed in the form of a book (Constitution), the replica weighs around 1,500 kg.

Meticulously fabricated using high-grade material, it ensures both aesthetic appeal and structural integrity.

Designed in the form of an open book, the sculpture features an outer cladding of stainless steel with a buffed matte finish that has given it a refined and elegant appearance.

The front pages of the sculpture highlight the Preamble, etched in both English and Kannada. This text is precisely engraved using nitrogen laser cutting on a 1 mm PVD gold-coated stainlesssteel sheet, ensuring exceptional clarity and long-term durability.

The replica is 12 ft wide, while the thickness ranges from 8 inches to 12 inches.
