The price of Nokia 7.1 starts at Euro 299 (approximately Rs 25,300) and goes up to Euro 349 (approximately Rs 29,600). However, this will also depend on the market. The phone has been launched in Gloss Midnight Blue and Gloss Steel color. At present, nothing has been said about making it available in India.
On the other hand, Nokia 6.1 Plus is priced at Rs 15,999. It has been made available in the market in Gloss Black, Gloss Midnight Blue and Gloss White colors. The handset is sold exclusively on e-commerce site Flipkart and Nokia’s own website.

Dual-SIM smartphones Nokia 7.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus run on the stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo. Both are part of the Android One program. Nokia 7.1 will get the Android 9.0 Pie update next month, while Nokia 6.1 Plus is reported to get this update in October itself.

Direct competition of Nokia 7.1 with Nokia 6.1 Plus
Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor has been used in both the smartphones. There is only one variant of Nokia 6.1 Plus which is with 4 GB RAM / 64 GB inbuilt storage. At the same time, the recently launched Nokia 7.1 has two variants based on RAM and storage – 3 GB RAM / 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM / 64 GB storage. Both smartphones support microSD cards up to 400 GB.
Nokia 7.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus have dual camera setup on the rear. However, the sensors are different. Nokia 7.1 has a 12 megapixel primary sensor. It comes with autofocus and F/1.8 aperture. The battery of Nokia 7.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus is 3,060 mAh. The battery of Nokia 7.1 supports 18 watt fast charging. It claims to provide 50 percent charge in 30 minutes. Nokia 6.1 Plus handset supports 10 watt fast charging. Both the phones have a fingerprint sensor on the back and there is also a face unlock feature to unlock the handset.
Talking about connectivity, both the smartphones support 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C and 3.5mm headphone jack. The Nokia 7.1 has NFC, but the Nokia 6.1 does not have this feature. The dimensions of Nokia 7.1 are 149.7×71.19×7.99 millimeters and weight is 159 grams. On the other hand, Nokia 6.1 Plus measures 147.2×70.98×7.99 millimeters and weighs 151 grams.
