Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Thursday (December 26, 2024) said the DMK-led alliance was not only a principle-based alliance, but a permanent alliance. He also urged the alliance partners to “stay firm.”
“The DMK-led alliance is continuing for seven years and securing victory in elections,” he said at a function organised to mark the centenary-year celebrations of veteran Communist Party of India (CPI) leader, R. On behalf of the DMK, he wished Mr. Nallakannu on his 100th birthday. Mr. Nallakannu has been supportive of the schemes launched by the Dravidian model government with a focus on social justice and equality, Mr. Stalin said.
He also noted that Mr. Nallakannu was calm, diplomatic, and at the same time, analyses all situations deeply. Mr. Stalin requested him to continue to guide the youth of the State.
On Mr. Nallakannu’s request, the Chief Minister has ordered for the upgradation of Srivaikuntam Government Hospital, where Mr. Nallakannu was born, with a CT scan facility and the construction of a new building with additional facilities, according to a statement.
