Solving a murder mystery in four days, Nawabpet police officials have arrested eight persons, and seized swords and three bikes reportedly used in the killing a 25-year-old man.
‘Clash while flying kites’
Sharing the details here on Wednesday, Nellore Town DSP P. Sindhu Priya said, “There was a clash between deceased Koduru Kalyan and main accused Doniparthi Ajay Kumar while flying kites during Penna River Festival on January 16, 2025. Keeping that grudge in mind, Ajay along with his friends went on motorcycles and killed Kalyan with swords at 9.30 p.m. on February 8.”
The DSP informed that a case has been registered under Section 103 (1) read with 3 (5) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhitha (BNS). She appreciated Nawabpet CI Shaik Anwar Basha, SI Shaik Rehman and another SI K. Shivaiah for solving the case.
