Voice calling facility will be free. Voice calls will be free, but to enjoy this service you will have to buy a landline phone. Only Jio Fiber Hub device is provided by Jio. Landline phone is not available.
How to activate JioFixed Line
Old customers of Jio Fiber
Old Jio Fiber customers will have to activate the fixed landline number through My Jio app. For this go to My Jio app. Here select the broadband connection option. Tap on Recharge here. Then a pop-up window will be displayed by the app informing you that Jio calling service is available for you. Now follow the instructions to activate it.
For this, OTP will come on your registered number. Jiofixedvoice will be registered as soon as you enter the one time password. After completion of the registration process, you will receive your fixed landline number through SMS. Fixed landline also appears on the registration page of My Jio app. Now you can avail the facility of voice calling by connecting a wire to the fixed phone line port on the back of your Jio Fiber device.

For new customers, Jiofixed landline will already be active with Jio Fiber connection. Jio subscribers will get a landline number after getting the connection.
Jio fixed voice service can be enjoyed from smartphone also
Fixed landline means that you will be able to make calls from a landline phone. But Jio has provided the facility to its subscribers to make calls through fixed landline numbers from their smartphones. This is possible through Jio4gVoice app, which the company has now named JioCall.
With Jio Fiber you will be able to make voice calls as well as video calls from your fixed line number. This will be possible only through JioCall app. JioCall makes your fixedline connection smarter. It has been claimed on Google Play Store that you will be able to use your smartphone to make video and audio calls from fixed landlines.
For this, you will have to configure your 10 digital fixed line number in the JioCall app. After this you will be able to make fixed line calls by creating a fixed profile in your JioCall app.
First of all, download JioCall app on your phone from Google Play and App Store. Here the app will have to give some important permissions. After this, three options are available to setup the JioCall app. First- through Jio SIM. Second – through JioFi connection and third – through Jio Fiber connection. Here you have to choose the third option.
Landline phone is not available with Jio fixed line connection.
As soon as you do this, OTP will come on your registered number. Now register the JioCall app on your smartphone using the OTP. You will see all the contacts on the interface of JioCall app. As soon as you click on a contact. You will get two options – fixedline call and fixed video call. As soon as you select fixedline call. That contact will receive a call from your fixed landline number from your mobile.
Now you will be able to make and receive calls from fixed line with the help of your smartphone. Please note that to call a fixed line number through the JioCall app, your phone must be connected to JioFiber’s internet. JioCall app goes offline once you go out of internet connectivity.
JioCall app is available on Google Play Store and iOS platforms. To register a fixed line on JioCall app, the number registered with Jio Fiber connection plays a very important role. Calls from Jio fixed line will be made through Jiocall app only. If you use the phone’s default caller app, the call will go through the SIM card.
