Farmer injured in bear attack in Karnataka

A farmer was admitted to the district hospital after a bear attack in the forest near Kanakumbi village in Belagavi district of Karnataka on June 25.

Dashrath Warandikar, 60, said the bear attacked him when he went to the edge of the forest to graze his cattle. He suffered injuries on his face. He is recovering, police said.

Forest and police officers visited the spot.
