Only Kavali in the SPSR Nellore district recorded a moderate rainfall of 41.75 mm between 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Monday (June 16, 2025) as per real time weather updates given on A.P. State Development and Planning Society (APSDPS).
Other stations that recorded light showers, all below 25 mm, were Lalapeta in the Tirupati district, Macherla in the Palnadu district, Nandaluru in the Annamayya district, Rekulakunta in the Kadapa district. A few stations in the Rayalaseema region received very light showers.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Amaravati, had predicted isolated heavy rainfall for the region of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh until Monday. A few stations have received moderate rainfall in the past two days, as per information on the APSDPS. Thereafter, light to moderate rain, or thundershowers, is expected at a few places in the region as well as the whole State this week.
