The dip in the II PU annual exam-1 results has affected the downloading of admission tickets for the Common Entrance Test (CET-2025) scheduled to be held on April 15 and 17.
As per data available from the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), of the 3.3 lakh candidates who have registered and paid fees for CET-2025, 2.85 lakh have downloaded the admission ticket while 45,000 are yet to download it.
“The downloading of admission tickets has slowed after the announcement of the II PUC results,” H. Prasanna, Executive Director of KEA said.
Following this slowdown, he has advised students to download the admission tickets as they have two more chances to take up the II PU exams and improve their marks. “Don’t miss the chance to attend CET just because your II PUC scores are less,” he said.
Further, Mr. Prasanna requested students not to skip the CET as it will be held only once a year. “There are opportunities to improve your II PUC marks, but CET will be held only once. If you appear for CET, we will even consider the marks scored in the third exam while announcing the rank. Even during CET-2024 many students who improved their marks in II PUC exam-3 were assigned CET ranks and allowed for professional courses admissions,” he stated.
