Friendly cricket match on March 20 between MLAs and mediapersons

The Speaker’s Eleven, consisting of MLAs, will take on the journalists’ team Media Eleven in a friendly cricket match at the Lulu Estadio Bellinturf in the city at 7 p.m. on Thursday (March 20).

The match is planned as a curtain-raiser to season 2 of the Kesari-S.L. Shyam Cricket Tournament organised by the Kerala Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ). The Speaker’s Eleven featuring Assembly Speaker A.N. Shamseer, Leader of Opposition V.D. Satheesan, Ministers K. Rajan, M.B. Rajesh, P.A. Mohamed Riyas and G.R. Anil and several MLAs of the ruling front and the Opposition will take on senior journalists in the friendly match. The tournament in April will see participation by 24 men’s and women’s teams, the organisers said.
