The Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) has decided to award full marks to all the students who attempted question number 7 in Second Year English examination held on Monday, (March 10, 2025).
The decision came late in the evening after Secretary (BIE) Krishna Aditya reviewed the situation with subject experts who assessed the concerns raised by some students. The Board said that the issue was about clarity of lines in the question, more particularly, because it featured a pie chart.
“In the interest of fairness and ensuring that students are not at a disadvantage due to printing inconsistencies, the Board has decided to award full marks for the respective question to all students who attempted to answer it in the answer sheet,” the official release clarified. The decision has been taken to uphold student welfare and ensure a just evaluation process, it noted.
