The GMR Aero Academy, Hyderabad has launched an online instructor-led training programme titled Certification in Airport, Airline and Cargo Operations (CAACO), aimed at equipping young graduates across India with a holistic understanding of the aviation industry.
The three-month course is structured to offer foundational knowledge alongside operational training in key functional domains such as airside operations, ramp management, aviation security, cargo handling, and customer service. The academy has positioned the programme as an accessible entry point for graduates under the age of 27 with good communication skills, aiming to nurture the next generation of aviation professionals, said a release.
CAACO is divided into two phases. The first phase covers the Fundamentals of Civil Aviation, Aviation Regulators, Time Zones in Aviation, and Customer Service Skills. The second phase focuses on the operational aspects of Airside Operations, Ramp Operations, Aviation Security, and Cargo Operations.
