Graduation ceremony held for university colleges of engineering students

A total of 1,027 graduands from the University Colleges of Engineering (BIT Campus Tiruchi, Ariyalur, Pattukkottai, and Thirukkuvalai) under Anna University, Chennai, received their degrees at the graduation ceremony held on the Bharathidasan University campus in Tiruchi on Saturday.

In his convocation address, M. Somasundaram, managing director Amman-TRY Steels, encouraged students to focus on professional growth, commitment to goals, and societal contributions.

First rank holders K. Sharon Monisha (B. Tech Pharmaceutical Technology) and M. Akash (B. Tech Petrochemical Technology), 13 gold medal winners, and 29 rankholders were among those who were felicitated at the ceremony.

T. Senthilkumar, Dean, University College of Engineering, BIT Campus, Anna University-Tiruchi, presented the annual report of all four campuses.

J. Prakash, Registrar; P. Sakthivel, Controller of Examinations and P. Hariharan, director, Centre for Constituent Colleges, presided over the function.
