Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand, along with West Zone DCP SM Vijay Kumar and ACP Venkatagiri, visited BJP MP DK Aruna’s residence in Jubilee Hills on Monday (March 17, 2025) following a break-in by an unidentified person on Sunday.
CCTV footage shows the intruder, wearing gloves and a mask, spending approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes inside the property, said DCP (West), S.M. Vijay Kumar. “He took about 10 minutes to gain entry, cautiously moved around for another 10 minutes, and spent nearly 15-20 minutes in one of the halls,” said the officer.
“From the moment he jumped the fence to his exit, the entire incident lasted 1 hour and 35 minutes,” he added.
Police teams, including eight special units, are reviewing CCTV footage and examining the routes used by the intruder. Officials inspected the terrace, garden, and kitchen and later arranged additional security at the residence. Ms. Aruna, the Mahabubnagar MP, was not present at the time, as she was attending official events in her constituency.
