Kerala HC orders removal of flex boards from temple premises in Kozhikode

A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court has directed the secretary of Villiappally grama panchayat in Kozhikode to forthwith take necessary steps to remove flex boards/hoardings put up by the panchayat on the premises of the Lokanarkavu Temple.

The Bench also ordered that the Chembai Sangeetha Mandapam on the temple premises should be used only for programmes related to the temple festival and ceremonies, as it was within the temple compound where devotees exercised their right to worship in an accustomed manner, subject to the practice and tradition of the temple.
