MES Mampad College, Mampad, was poised to lift the championship as competitions in the Calicut University C-Zone arts festival neared a close at EMEA College of Arts and Science, Kondotty, on Thursday night.

MES Mampad College had secured 200 points when results of 87 events were announced. The Calicut University campus was in the second position with 171 points, and PSMO College, Tirurangadi, in the third position with 155 points. The host college was in the fourth position with 79 points.
