Minister, MLA to participate in Pope Francis’ funeral service on behalf of T.N. govt.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Tuesday announced that Minister for Minorities Welfare and Non-Resident Tamils Welfare S.M. Nasar, along with DMK MLA from Tiruchi (East) Inigo S. Irudayaraj, will attend the funeral service of Pope Francis to be held at the Vatican. According to an official press release, they would participate in the funeral service on behalf of the Tamil Nadu government. Earlier, Mr. Stalin, in his tribute to Pope Francis, had said he was a transformative figure who led the Catholic Church with empathy and progressive values.
