Miscreant beaten up for harassing woman in Belagavi

Onlookers beat up a miscreant for harassing a woman by calling her at night in Belagavi on Sunday night.

Somanath Ghodse from Shastri Nagar in Belagavi used to harass the woman who was working as a salesgirl in a retail mall.

He used to pester her repeatedly by asking her to love him. She was not interested and told him so clearly several times.

However, he continued to trouble her. Her relatives also warned him, but he did not change his ways.

She caught him stalking her near her house on Sunday night. She cornered him and showed her call logs to her relatives and neighbours.

The group slapped him and beat him before he was rescued by another group of elders. Officers of the APMC Police Station visited the spot.
