Naidu’s leadership key for investments to State, say TDP leaders

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP), on Thursday, organised the district-level ‘Mahanadu’ programme here, as a prelude to the main Mahanadu, scheduled to be held in Kadapa from May 27 to 29.

Senior party leaders and cadres reiterated their commitment to spread the message of development and welfare of the coalition government, led by Chief Minister and TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Addressing the party cadres, Chittoor Parliamentary Committee president C.R. Rajan and Chittoor MP Daggumalla Prasada Rao spoke about the significant investments to the State under Mr. Naidu’s leadership. “His (Naidu’s) leadership is steering the State towards extensive industrial growth and transforming Andhra Pradesh into a green energy hub,” said Mr. Rajan. He added that the coalition government’s focus is on tackling unemployment and ensuring sustainable progress.

The programme commenced with a floral tribute to TDP founder and former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao’s statue. Senior party leaders, MLAs, former MLAs, and prominent office bearers were present. The Mahanadu saw the passing and approval of 27 resolutions, focussed on strengthening party’s strategic moves and public welfare schemes. “The resolutions will be submitted to the TDP high-command at the Mahanadu committee meeting,” said MP Prasada Rao.

The MP appealed to the party cadres to work with renewed vigour to garner immense support for the Chief Minister. He termed the allegations of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy against Mr. Naidu “unfounded.” He called on the TDP workers to work with unity and make the Mahanadu at Kadapa a grand success.

Nagari MLA Gali Bhanu Prakash flayed YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy’s criticism against the coalition government, saying that the previous regime under Jagan was marred by conspiracies, scams and corruption.
