Networking and AI vital for shaping professional career, graduates told

Senior Lead-Talent Acquisition in IT major Infosys Amogh Vadiraj Bengeri has stressed the importance of continuing education to update the latest advances and new emerging technologies for the young engineering graduates coming out of the universities to achieve success in their professional life.

Delivering an address at the graduation day celebrations of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (Co-Education) in Sharnbasva University on Saturday, Mr. Bengeri said that apart from the continuing education, two other important factors that should be focused upon for shaping the professional careers are networking and acquiring the knowledge of Artificial Intelligence.

Mr. Bengeri told the young graduates that continuing education should be the integral part of their professional career and apart from the paid courses hundreds of free courses being offered by many institutions in the technical field are available online.

The young graduates should update their knowledge in the emerging areas of science and technology through these courses. Infosys, for instance, is offering free online courses through its application Infosys springboard. And, the engineering graduates should utilize this opportunity and update their knowledge, he said.

“Continuous learning will automatically result in continuous growth in your professional career,” he added.

Mr. Bengeri said that Artificial Intelligence is here for a longer stay and domination in everybody’s life. “For the next two decades, Artificial Intelligence is going to dominate the field and it is imperative for every engineering graduate to up-skill his knowledge in Artificial Intelligence,” he added.

Secretary of Sharnbasveshwar Vidya Vardak Sangha Basavaraj Deshmukh and Vice-Chancellor Anilkumar Bidve were present.
