P. Manikkavel has assumed charge as the new Commissioner of the Chennai South Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Central Excise Commissionerate. He is expected to prioritise streamlining processes, addressing taxpayer grievances promptly, and promoting voluntary compliance through outreach and education programmes.
