The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh will act as the Chairman of the State-Level Society for the implementation of P4 (Public Private People Partnership) programme in the State. The Deputy Chief Minister will be the Vice-Chairman of the Society.
Supporting them will be a CEO and director, along with a call centre, a tech team, program team, and wing teams for operational purposes. At the district level, a Minister will serve as the Chairperson of the District Chapter. The MLA will be the Chairperson for the Constituency Chapter, and at the village/ward level, panchayat secretaries and ward administrative secretaries will act as Chairpersons of the respective Secretariat Chapters.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held a review meeting at the Secretariat on Tuesday regarding the establishment of the State-Level Society and the progress of the P4 program.
He directed that every District Collector, Minister, and MLA should identify Margadarsis (mentors/philanthropists) and ensure they adopted Bangaru Kutumbalu (families).
Transparency
Mr. Naidu underscored transparency by suggesting that all information, such as the donors, the amounts donated, and the other needs of the Bangaru Families, should be made publicly available on the P4 website. This would build greater trust in the initiative, he added.
The officials informed the Chief Minister that in line with the government’s goal of adopting five lakh Bangaru Families by August 15, the registration of Margadarsis and Bangaru Families was under way. ‘‘Organisations such as Milaap, DonateKart, and Rang De are coming on board as P4 partners. The P4 platform has been designed to allow donors to adopt not only families but also mandals and villages, and to contribute funds accordingly,’‘ they said.
‘’The donors can choose whom they wish to support and can contribute directly through the online platform. The process begins when a donor logs in via the P4 portal,’‘ they explained.
The Chief Minister instructed the officials to complete the registration process by August and operationalise the program. He further directed the release of an annual progress report by next Ugadi, detailing the impact made during the first year of the P4 initiative.
