An expert committee comprising staff from Sassoon General Hospital and BJ Medical College has submitted its investigation report into the death of 37-year-old Tanisha Bhise, who was allegedly denied treatment at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital.
The state-appointed inquiry committee earlier found DMH violated emergency care protocols by reportedly refusing admission to the pregnant woman when she couldn’t pay a ₹10 lakh deposit. Bhise was later transferred to another facility where she succumbed after delivering twins.
Pune police had sought medical expertise from government hospitals on April 8 as part of their probe. Officials confirmed the classified report has been submitted to both the Medical Education Commissioner and Alankar Police Station, incorporating medical findings from DMH, Manipal Hospital, Surya Hospital, and Indira IVF.
Authorities have not disclosed the report’s conclusions as investigations continue.
