Police probe murder conspiracy against MLC R. Rajendra after leaked audio surfaces

Police officials have intensified their investigation into an alleged plot to kill MLC R. Rajendra, son of Karnataka Cooperation Minister K.N. Rajanna, following the emergence of an 18-minute audio clip detailing the ‘conspiracy’. The recording, which surfaced on media platforms, has led to the detention of a woman for questioning.

Mr. Rajendra lodged a formal complaint with the Tumakuru Superintendent of Police after receiving a pen drive containing the audio file. The recording, reportedly from December last year, captures the conversation between Rocky, a close associate of Rajendra, and Soman, the prime accused in the case.

According to official sources, the leaked audio features Pushpa, an associate of Soman, disclosing the assassination plan. Following Rajendra’s complaint, the police launched an investigation and registered cases against Soman, Bharat, Amit, Gunda, and Yatheesh under multiple charges. With Pushpa now in custody, officials are interrogating her to uncover additional information regarding the alleged conspiracy, sources said.
