Bustling processions carrying a statue of Lord Ram, floating through a sea of devotees, flooded the main streets of Kalaburagi city during the Ram Navami celebrations here on Sunday.
The birth anniversary of Lord Ram was celebrated on a grand note with religious fervor and gaiety, as hundreds of youths,women and men- most of them dressed in saffron and white danced to folk and devotional songs throughout the processions taken out by Shri Adi Purush Ram Navami Utsav Samiti and the Ram Navami Utsav Samiti.
Like every year, this year too, the Utsav set an example of communal harmony on the land of Sufi saints and Sharanas as the groups of Muslim brethrens were seen offering juice to the devotees participating in the procession near the famous Quadri Chaman Dargah Shareef at Khadri chowk near Naka circle.
. The procession taken out by Shri Adi Purush Ram Navami Utsav Samiti commenced from Ramteerth temple, and the Ram Navami Utsav Samiti procession from the Nagareshwar School in Nehru Gunj, traversed through various junctions and concluded at Jagat Circle. Hundreds of people participated in both processions.
