Restaurant owner held for alleged stabbing of employee

The Varkala Police on Tuesday arrested the owner of a restaurant in Varkala for allegedly stabbing an employee. The accused has been identified as Jasir, 41. According to the police, he stabbed Shaji, an employee at his restaurant, following an altercation between them over Shaji’s demand for a leave. Jasir had denied him permission to avail leave, which led to an argument and the stabbing.
