State gears up for Invest Kerala 2025 to drive industrial growth

Buoyed by the success of the Year of Enterprises campaign and Kerala’s top ranking in Ease of Doing Business, the Industries department is preparing for Invest Kerala 2025, a global summit for potential investors on February 21 and 22 in Kochi, to further boost the State’s industrial growth.

Gains from the Year of Enterprises campaign over the last three years resulted in 3.39 lakh new enterprises, fresh investments of ₹21,791 crore, and the creation of 7,19,710 jobs. The campaign, launched in 2022-23 with a target of one lakh new enterprise registrations, easily achieved its goal, prompting authorities to continue the initiative.

Alongside the campaign, the State government has launched a slew of new programmes to encourage investments, including the promotion of private industrial estates. A total of 23 private industrial estates have been granted permission to become operational.

The government has also adopted the Scaling Up programme to create at least 1,000 enterprises with a minimum annual turnover of ₹100 crore each within four years.

The government is also pursuing the One Local Body One Product programme, along with initiatives for multi-storey industrial spaces (Galas) and campus industrial parks. The Industry on Campus programme has received a positive response, with around 80 institutions expressing interest in joining.

Invest Kerala 2025 will bring together global business leaders, investors, policymakers, and industry experts under the theme “Responsible Investment, Responsible Industry.” The event will highlight Kerala’s advantages and the priorities set for its industrial growth.
