The Hindu and Naruvi Hospitals present free webinar on urinary tract infections and their treatment

The Hindu in collaboration with Naruvi Hospitals has launched a 15-part webinar series on the theme ‘Prevent illness, promote wellness’. The first webinar, scheduled for December 22 at 11.30 a.m. will focus on ‘Recurrent urinary tract infection (UTI) in women – management and prevention’.

The speakers include Nitin Kekre, consultant urologist and head of urology at Naruvi Hospital, who will speak on the definition, clinical presentation and evaluation of UTI. Consultant urologist Rohit Sethi will discuss recurrent UTI, how common it is and the causes.

Ganesh Gopalakrishnan, consultant urologist at Vedanayagam Hospitals, Coimbatore, will speak on UTI treatment and prevention and Maneesh Sinha, senior consultant urologist at NU Hospitals, Bengaluru, will provide insights on ‘UTIs in special situations such as pregnancy and menopause’. The session will be moderated by Ramya Kannan, Chief of Bureau (Tamil Nadu), The Hindu.

The free webinar is part of a public interest initiative ‘Healthy India, Happy India’, which was launched on December 7 at Naruvi Hospital in Vellore with the aim of fostering a culture of awareness, prevention and wellness.
