This is how Aadhaar number should be linked through IVR from mobile phone

The government has postponed the last date of the process of linking the SIM card to the Aadhaar number, but the verification is still over. The good news is that this process was made easier on Tuesday. Now all telecom subscribers can call all their mobile number with Aadhaar by calling just one number, no matter what network. This news has brought a sigh of relief, as till now the customers were forced to go to the offline store of telecom companies to connect their mobile number to the Aadhaar number. Now customers can connect the mobile number from their home by using IVR service.

Link your mobile phone with Aadhaar
If you want to verify your phone number with Aadhaar, then the process is very easy. You should just have an Aadhaar number. You have the number of Airtel, Idea, Jio, Vodafone or any other operator, you have to call only toll free number 14546 from your mobile number. After this, IVR’s instructions are to be followed for revision.

1. When you call 14546, you will be asked about your citizenship. Are you Indian or NRI. You choose the correct option.
2. After this, you will approve of linking your phone number to Aadhaar by pressing 1.
3. Now you have to give your Aadhaar number and press 1 to confirm this.
4. After doing this, oneTime password will come on your mobile phone.
5. Now you have to enter your phone number.
6. Here you will approve the telecom operator to take your name, photo and details of date of birth from the data base of UIDAI.
7. After this, the last four figures of your number will be told in IVR, so that it can be confirmed that you have given the right number.
8. If your number is correct, now the OTP has to be used through SMS.
9. To complete the base-mobile number verification process, you have to press 1.
10. If you have any other number, then you can also link it by pressing it 2. After this, the instructions of the IVR system have to be followed. During this time, keep your second mobile phone around, because OTP will also come on that number.

The OTP that is sent during the process of linking the base and mobile number is valid for 30 minutes. This means that for some reason even if the call drops, you can use that OTP during the process of re -calling. It is being said in the IVR system that the last date to link the mobile number to Aadhaar is February 6. At the same time, the subscriber of the corporate plan does not need to link its number to Aadhaar.

So far, Airtel, Idea and Vodafone have started this IVR service. At the same time, IVR tried to connect us to the Customer Service Center Officer on calling from Jio number. But each time the call closed on its own.

At the end of November, telecom companies had asked to bring a website to add Aadhaar and mobile number online. However, no such website has come yet. Looking at the picture used in a tweet by Digital India’s Twitter account, it seems that users will be able to link their mobile number to Aadhaar through the M Aadhar app. This app is currently available only on Android platform.
