Three habitual offenders arrested for house break-in theft in Bengaluru

The Jayanagar police have cracked a case of a house break-in theft 48 hours after the case was reported and arrested three habitual offenders.

The accused have been identified as Raghu, 25, Mithun, 24, and Jaideep, 25, and 1kg of gold valuables worth ₹78.5 lakh have been recovered from their possession. The accused had allegedly concealed a part of the stolen valuables at a vacant site in the Thurahalli forest area, which has also been recovered.

According to the police, the theft, reported on July 20 in Jayanagar 5th block, occurred when the complainant had gone to drop his son to the airport and returned only to find the house burgled.

The accused are habitual offenders involved in several house break-ins in different police station limits, Inspector Deepak R. said.

The police are on the lookout for the fourth accused, who had allegedly received 50g of gold from the trio and is on the run.
