Two killed in separate road accidents in Bengaluru

A 55-year-old private firm employee was killed in a hit-and-run case in Bhattarahalli on Old Madras Road on Friday night.

The victim, Kumar, a resident of Vinayaka Layout, was returning home from night shift when an unidentified vehicle knocked down his two-wheeler.

The severely injured Kumar was rushed to the hospital, where the doctor declared him ‘brought dead’. The K.R. Puram traffic police have registered a case of hit and run and are investigating further to identify the vehicle.

In another incident, a 45-year-old cyclist was killed when a speeding car knocked him down in Devanahalli on Friday night.

The deceased, Nagappa, working in a private firm, was returning home from work. The Devanahalli traffic police have registered a case of death due to negligence and rash and negligent driving against the car driver.
