Two techies were killed in a high-speed crash after their vehicle crashed into a divider in Madhapur early on Friday.
The deceased, identified as M. Akanksh, 24, and his friend Raghu Babu, 25, were travelling from Borabanda to Madhapur on a two-wheeler around 12.20 a.m. on Friday. Police said they were friends since engineering days. While Akanksh was riding the bike bearing the number TS 02 FE 8983, Raghu was riding pillion.
“After crossing Parvat Nagar signal, Akanksh lost control of his speeding vehicle, which rammed into a road divider. The two sustained serious injuries and were shifted to a private hospital in the vicinity where they succumbed while undergoing treatment,” Madhapur Inspector D. Krishna Mohan said.
In the CCTV videos of the incident that surfaced in social media, they were seen falling at a distance from the bike. The bodies were handed over to the family for final rites after the post mortem in the Osmania General Hospital.
