In a press release, Andhra Pradesh State Minorities Finance Corporation‘s former vice-chairman and Director Mohammed Nasir hoped that the Supreme Court would revoke the amendments and ensure the status quo of the Act.

Congress Party’s Vizianagaram district president Maripi Vidyasagar alleged that Narendra Modi government was targeting minorities and Opposition parties including Congress Party in a systematic way. He said the party would continue to extend its moral support to Muslim organisations since the Centre was tarnishing the secular image of the country. Meanwhile, Mr. Vidayasagar and other leaders staged another protest over the Enforcement Directorate’s charge-sheet against Congress party leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
