While Dr Manmohan Singh was always an economist, while he was Prime Minister, he was very hands-on when it came to foreign policy.

He was best known for his deal with the US for the civil nuclear deal with then President George W Bush. But it was with the neighbourhood he spent a lot of time with his foreign policy.
