A woman was injured during a clash between two families over a property dispute in Hale Vantamuri village of Belagavi district on Wednesday.
Members of the families of Maruti Honnure and Parasappa Holikar fought over a pending land dispute.
Members of one family climbed the roof of the other and started breaking the roof tiles.
Ningavva suffered serious injuries when someone attacked her with a machete. She has been admitted to the District Hospital.
A team of officers from Kakati Police Station rushed to the spot and stopped the quarrel.
A police van is stationed in the village.
